RapidDeploy’s Reinhard Ekl wins Ron Cottingham Collaboration Award from Texas NENA
The Ron Cottingham Collaboration Award is to honor an individual who has shown exemplary leadership in advancing 9-1-1 in Texas through collaborative efforts between government and industry partners. Ronald Cottingham loved emergency communications professionals and strongly believed that collaboration was the best way to move 9-1-1 services forward in our Great State of Texas. He saw great opportunities to bridge our industry by working together.
This award is established in his memory and dedicated to his mission of improving 9-1-1 through collaboration. It recognizes a 9-1-1 professional who not only excels in his or her every day job, but who has gone above and beyond to further the goals of the Texas Chapter of the NENA, the National Emergency Number Association.
We at RapidDeploy are proud and honored to have this year’s recipient, Reinhard Ekl, as our Chief Operating Officer. He truly exemplifies a passion to move 911 forward through collaboration.
Reinhard is a firm believer that great things are only achieved by collaboration and working together toward a common objective. Even before joining RapidDeploy, he has been working in close collaboration with Texas 9-1-1 communications centers, State and regional 9-1-1 authorities, as well as leading technology companies to advance emergency communications. He has been very fortunate to work with early adopters like North Central Texas to improve 9-1-1 location accuracy over the last years and is looking forward to expanding that collaboration to roll out even more game-changing technology. With RapidDeploy opening our US headquarters in Austin, he is looking forward to working with more agencies and partners in the great State of Texas to help them serve their citizens, using the most advanced technology.
