Industry Council Welcomes RapidDeploy to Membership

Innovative Mission Critical Dispatch Provider Now Part of Emergency Technologies Industry Body

Washington, D.C., February 13, 2018 — The Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies (“iCERT” or the “Industry Council”)  today announced the addition of RapidDeploy to the Association’s growing membership base.

RapidDeploy supports public safety agencies with its advanced call taking and computer-aided dispatch platform. The company combines advanced telematics with real, on-the-ground experience to provide relevant, simple-to-use systems that allow agencies to maximize their efficiency and enable teams to share and report critical information in real-time.

“As we look to engage with our industry colleagues in a wide-ranging dialogue about innovation and convergence in the field of emergency response technologies,” noted RapidDeploy CEO Steven Raucher, “we’ve joined iCERT to add our voice, perspective and experience to the mission of advancing technology development for public safety communications.”

“Each new iCERT member offers a unique perspective on using technology to advance public safety,” said Ellen O’Hara, Industry Council Chair and Chairman of the Board of Zetron, a JVCKenwood Company. “Establishing, maintaining and growing relationships among key technology company leaders—the members of our Association—are important elements of iCERT’s vision. We are pleased that RapidDeploy has joined iCERT, and we look forward to their participation in our mission to encourage adoption of new emergency communications solutions and policies.”

“With fresh insights on the nature of mission critical dispatch, the RapidDeploy team will infuse our group with innovative and keen understandings,” said iCERT Executive Director, George Rice. “We’re proud to welcome Steven and his team as members of iCERT.”
